shushycatcher 219
my pups have been on goats milk, minced chicken and minced tripe from when they were weaned at 4 1/2 weeks, they thrive on it,and not a runny shite in sight!
Millet 4,497
For me personally a good quality base dry food like Uukanuba mixed with the odd bit of minced rabbit/chicken/beef and veg..i have seen some food mentioned on here that i would not feed to rat's.. ..dont forget he/she is only a puppy once so make the best of the early day's..the food i choose is expensive but getting a well formed pup from that is priceless.. MOO 730
I would disagree millet ...there is some good advice there I cant see anything i would feed to rats apart from pig balls ...I have always brought pups on with mostly flesh rather than the odd bit and made up with a good quality pup dry food ....lambs milk ,eggs and sf-50 for that extra nutriants

Hidden Hunter 1
Yea a good dried food with meat protean rather than soya also meat and bone to build joints and bones , tuna fish or any oily fish give a dog a great coat! And a good coat tells a lot about dogs health
fatlad 250
the pups i bred were weaned onto minced raw food from 4 weeks as the mother didnt want them even near her from around that age , i bought a bag of gain puppy and sapling aswell the guy in the shop told me the main ingrediants are listed first and alot of the foods mentioned havn,t got meat as the first ingrediant. if your going to feed raw a pup will do better on a fatty type of mince and a good dry food when it gets to about ten weeks start giving it chicken thighs aswell after about 15 weeks just give it a good variety of food

sandymere 8,263
Decent complete as a base, covers the basic nutritional requirements, with the addition of some meat, vegs, eggs, table scraps etc to add a broad spectrum of nutrients along with getting the dogs digestion used to variety. If anyone knows their meat and can get the best of it, it is you Good variation Jenky, something i have always advocated I have never fed too much complete type food to pups, only a little now and then and always have it soaked when i do. Pups have enough developing to do without putting more work on the kidneys.
WILF 47,141
I feed them the same as I feed the adults, a couple of pounds of flesh and then anything and everything mixed in.........veg, rice, fish, eggs, biscuit, when its colder some melted lard poured over. I dont worry about how much they get either, just let them eat as much as they want.
lurche 48
10 week old and on beta 3 times a day soon to be reduced to twice a day.eats well and is suppose to be better than the bakers puppy i tried her on for a few days.bakers suppose to be full of shite than can cause skin problems and make them hyper. she was on beta when i collected her and pets at home doin 3 for price of 2 16 quid for 9 kilo.gonna mix fresh in soon. didnt think sweetcorn was suppose to be good for them as not very digestable
rapidjenky 97
dont get me wrong i dont go mad on the pigs balls but they do get them as a treat every now and then, you would be surprised how much they love them. mine also get lamb racks of ribs, beef cock roots which are pure muscle meat along with other bits. all my dogs get a good variety of meat simply because i can get just about anything i want from work. along with what i hunt. there base food is lamb heart, beef skirt, beta puppy and raw veg. Mac 30
If a complete feed is what it says on the tin so to speak, why add other ingredients ? surely this imbalances the nutrirional percentages within the food. If it is complete, surely it dont need anything else added ? Just a thought.
