Border/Lakeland pup too aggresive.

I have a Border/lakeland pup he is 7 months old,he is as good as gold in the house,and a diamond with my grandaughter,the only fly in the ointment is when i take him out he goes absolutely raj when he sees another dog,straining on his lead,lunging at the other dog etc,he doesnt just start on ones that come near us he will go out of his way to get involved,i cant relax and let my other dog,a whippet,have a good run,he is due in the vets next monday the 23rd to have his nads sorted,im hoping this calms the pillock down a bit,anyone had this problem with a border/lakey before?.

Dog possibly needs the owner to take a firmer stance with it,easy options,that probably won,t solve the issue,are not the way to deal with a problem terrier.

What happens if it turns out to be the best thing you've ever had, there's no going back with that drastic move. I'de keep a firm controle over him and give him some work on the rats, he just needs an outlet for some of that steam.

Firmer stance meaning give him a clip mate?,i might have to but only as a last resort,the problem is the afternoon walk when there are more dogs about,when i get in from night shift i take them both out for a stretch of their legs,then in the aft for about 45 mins including free running,plus they have the garden to potter about in,apart from the aggression thing he is a gem.

theres no such thing as to much aggresion it how you channel it that matters FORGET about castration and grow some balls yourself and get control of him 3foot of blue water pipe should do the trick if he starts give him a whack and make it count he ll learn then get him out on some rats and channel that aggesion

take a bottle of water and a empty coke bottle with a few pebles in blast him with water then shake the noisey bottle in his face every time he does it he soon stop also try nipping his skin on side of dog witch will take his attention of dog and strong command

In all honesty mate i wouldn't have a clue, but in all honesty would you ?, what i would say is you may regret it at some date in the future.

ive got one thats the same will fight with anything and i mean anything pitbulls mastifs you name it will ave a bash tryed everything water doesnt bother it neither do slaps pinches or whellies haha out and out loonatic o yea nearly forgot it is also ball less

Get him out walking with other dogs ,maybe doing a bit of bushing or ratting
