djs7547 104
iv seen an awful lot of good dogs, but a prime HARE would win. thats why they make such acheived quarry. for me its also good to see the hare escape at times, just to remind you on how hard it really is for the dog. Guest big e
you can have the best dog up against the best hare ,but either one will always get that bit of (luck). Quote Link to post

bigliks 601
dont forget alot of the time its not the hare that beats the dog cos its better its to do with the ground 2 hard 2 sort peat land sand land hedgi land pipes holes woods some of the hares that was hard two catch was sneaky ones they use be a famous hare on a1 called al rapido every one tryed running it week in week out use always be in same filed no one could catch it Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
Its no wonder so many of you lads have to resort to lamping the hare in order to catch them, there must be some very second rate dogs about these days going by the the posts so far, granted a good winter hare given fair law can test a dog but a good dog will take more than it misses, fact,Mackay and co,you really need to see some better dogs,WM Quote Link to post

Out of shape? We will never truly know. Sometimes the dogs are made to look average, I've never owned a true bred coursing dog, but even with my 3/4 collie x greyhound pursuing the hare always got me more excited than any other quarry Quote Link to post
rocky070707 30
some lads got summer dogs and some lads got very good winter dogs so if you are runing your summer dogs and you are thinking about takeing a winter hare think again but if you got a good winter dog there will kill so it down to the dog Quote Link to post
