quadhunter 6
The lad bred the main merle bitch 'Wheeler' himself like i said before welsh hill collie cross greyhound . Welsh collies totaly different to borders, for starters they must bark as they work this is where the voice comes from in these lurchers. Totaly agree dai dogs work similar land also, the hardest part is breeding dogs with enough brains and nose to find, speed stamina and guts to finish it when u got the both your in heaven Quote Link to post
bunnys 1,228
Why is it when you see merels there Hancock's ? . Boy certainly put enough foxes in the bag but i think when you see the dogs marking the dens a terrier could have accounted for a few more ?. these animals carry hound blood in the makeup atb bunnys. mystiko 17
I doubt the hound blood very much...they possibly give tongue cos they have run alongside the odd hound ,as seen on the dvds... Quote Link to post

the big chief 3,099
isn't ther a bull x in the 1st one havn't seen it for a while ? Quote Link to post
stormrider8 59
As for them jumping around jibbing in and out...that's called intelligence...why take bites when you don't need to...didn't see any getting away.Them dogs were class...probably not as hard as the hardest bull cross ever but could a bull x hunt up like that..I doubt it...they would probably wipe out half the sheep population on the fell...no argument they were proper traditional lurchers..simple as Thats because they dont show you the ones they filmed when they get away.. Wonder how many hours filming it actually took to come up with that shite  Yeah they can hunt bot not kill foxes!! 1 Quote Link to post

quadhunter 6
Nice offer Dai wonder weather you will have many takers? Don't think they realise how many miles the dogs have to cover before they even find! yes i agree these dogs could be harder but I find when u harden them up u tend to sacrifice hunt and stamina! Would like to hear off lads who have got dogs to do it all could be interested in pup or stud. Quote Link to post
