Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
I like pink it goes with my handbag The colour means nowt to me its the length weight you need a varied for diffrent netting situ where a small net is needed for a small bolt hole large one to cover a huge hole. And ones that are stiffer that can sit proud of brambles etc when a light flismy net hook and snags too easy. A mix of hemp so in a hedge where there is snags you can deploy them over nylon. Then when on the open pasture of the downs I love to have the flismy nets and in the end they do hold the coneys better for long than a hemp net. ATB Cookie Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Rabbits have limited color vision, pretty much only able to differentiate between blue and green, and they have a blind spot in front of their face, hence they run into bright pink nets no bother. Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
I don't know what this stuff is mate, someone made a friend a few nets and i have ended up with a couple. It's like a kind of medium weight material, but real soft and almost fluffy, a bit like a wool, it never tangles with undergrowth and just pulls off, but seems to wrap up bunnys really well, and they seem t tanle up into a ball every time. It's grey. Quote Link to post
bobcullen79 1,495
Ive been making a few since learning at xmas, made 10 blue ones, which I caught with the other day, then 10 two tone blue and day glo yellow and now Im on my 7th yellow one. Im well happy with them, cant stop making them at the minute. Gonna start on a long one soon, before theres purse nets hanging all over the house. No where near Andys time of 20 min a net yet tho, more like 70 mins. Ive got all sorts of colours in my bag off netrigger, and as has been said, I think the brighter the better. Quote Link to post
