darencross 72
It would be used for working with the smaller terriers mnnewry Quote Link to post
fat man 4,741
It would be used for working with the smaller terriers mnnewry If the right breeding was in the dog it would be a liability around the smaller terriers, have you ever seen a proper wheaten or bull when there worked up. 8 Quote Link to post
darencross 72
No i haven't fat man i keep terriers for earth work and have had a few wheaten lurchers and bull lurchers i no longer have the need for a lurcher as im going in to fulltime employment with the terriers and was thinking of getting a strong dog from days out stopping and i just want to see how the wheaten x bull turned out thanks Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
Get your self a .22 lad, a lot less hassle. Let's face it, if your terriers are any good the quarry should be just there in front of it and there's no need for a heavy dog. They'll just slow you down on a mornings stopping. 1 Quote Link to post

mnnewry 35
As per neil's post, hence my original question, don't see the need for a heavy dog these days & I imagine wud attract unwanted attention in the field, 1 Quote Link to post
