starting they terriers

was out today with my two young patts one 14 month other 11 month came up to a earth 14 month entered it not being down before my 11 month smelling around and a first cross bedlington watching everything and this morning started as a mooch about after 4 to five min the14 month she came out then my lurcher started to go i looked up a fox had bolted well she caught him with two terrier a fair bit behind but gave as good as shake when the caught up now my question to all ye digging men should my terrier have held the fox from boiting from the earth

Youre terrier is only 14 months old stepitup,, and by the sounds of things hasnt worked too many foxes,, so i would say youre lucky it went to ground and didnt do to bad a job to put the fox out of its earth. When youre working lurchers aswell count yourself lucky you got the bolt,,,, and didnt have to dig it out. Terrier may become mute the more experience he gets.

mate your pups 14 month and green the fox culd of pushed it back or if only in 4 or 5 minites maybe he never had it in a stop end but he still got stuck in on the rag and found a fox to ground its a start mate and the chase and rag will have boosted his confidence for next time thats for sure
