Thats a bit uncalled for mate especially when Buster is correct in what he as wrote.

He may have been straight to the point and it was a reply that you wasnt especting but he is true in what he says in regards to lads findig it hard to get a permission when farmers catch lads poaching on their fields and in their woods.

Your comment defo deserves a apology IMO.

Regarding the above conversation the comments are out of order, ask for help then have a go well done. I am in my final semester of criminal law i hope he gets the max sentence and the courts set a good PRECEDENT here. It is so hard for permissions as i know i left the sport for years and now i find it hard getting poxy land for plinking, let alone wanting to go hunt :cray: . I have so many people say no because i am a YOUNG lad and they are wary of the level of maturate. this is because silly people who think it is only an air gun, there not toys and people with respect for this good lads suffer.... its an F'ing shame because id love to not have a conscience and just pouch land, however i carn't because i have respect for the sport.

RANT OVER...SORRY

one young shooters opinion... ATB GAZ

Armed Trespass   It is an offence to enter any building, part of a building or land (including land covered by water) with a firearm without reasonable excuse (the proof whereof lies on the person

As correst as Buster is on the finer points of the law, everything will be judged on its merits. I would put money on the fact that he will not get a custodial sentence for this. He will get a fine and he will get the gun confiscated for sure.

i doubt that he will, in fact with police cuts and criminal justice cuts he will receive probable fine and the gun gone as said. But beware is the justice is feeling he wants to make an example of him he will and personally hope he does.

Very true Stealthy , although they are clamping down on `gun laws `. In the news yesterday , there was a lad given a five year sentence for for possesing a firearm . The `Gang culture` that the kids seem to promote is the driving force behind ths `clamp down ` Although i cant see this country doing anything properly , i suppose the though is there .......

it use to be 10 but that was discrectionary now 5 years is mandatory for a firearms offence

People like him deserve a custodial.

Sorry but if your mate was knowingly breaking the law then he deserves a full K'ing custodial sentance.

Armed Trespass; as mentioned is one of the more serious gun crimes; always has and always will be

Even if he walks with away with anything less, it's on his record for life. If he works in any kind of position of trust he's not going o keep a job for long as it's also a "Notifiable Offence", for example you must inform your employer of the offence regardless of it being a conviction/caution.

Also as mentioned, he gives he rest of us a bad name, that in my eyes is enough to warrent execution (I'm sorry but I'm a little old fashioned and execptionally hard line! but thats just how I roll).
