johnny 2 367
why are you two banging on about longogs...................... the point i was making is if you had a dog that cought hares but not deer or fox,, why wouldn't you breed from it,,,, same aplys to a little rabbit catcher,, bedy whippet ,, colie/grey ect.. perhaps i should have not used the prefix "coursing dog"...... shurly you understand the point i was making Nothing wrong with a dog that just catches hares, its just not a all rounder Quote Link to post
TOMO 27,271
why are you two banging on about longogs...................... the point i was making is if you had a dog that cought hares but not deer or fox,, why wouldn't you breed from it,,,, same aplys to a little rabbit catcher,, bedy whippet ,, colie/grey ect.. perhaps i should have not used the prefix "coursing dog"...... shurly you understand the point i was making Nothing wrong with a dog that just catches hares, its just not a all rounder agreed its not an all rounded,,,,, so where are you going with this??? has the term all rounded been discused?? 1 fella said you should never breed off a dog that wont catch deer and fox FACT,,,,,,feck knows why FACT makes it correct. i simply replyed,, if you had a good dog that cought hares shurly thats worth breeding from...................in fact you could take it a step further.........many people breed from dogs that just excell at one quary. of course none of this relates to the orginal thread,,,, so if you or anyone want to discuss it further maybee another thread should be started.. frankel 2,123
What you waffling about? A lad has put a thread up an your making it about me. Where have I put a skitty remark. Stop being so defensive an let's not ruin the thread The way i see it.. i may be wrong but you seem to keep putting sly dig's in to wind folk up..it might not be intentional but the dig's are there all the same. Your wrong. The way I see it is you know the minshaw lads an I have not seen eye to eye in the past an you have just got a pup off them so You feel you have to defend for them. An now you automatically think you know me because what they have said about me. Now wind your neck in an let the thread go. don't flatter yourself sh we have better stuff to talk about than you Quote Link to post
pack of dogs 34
any lurcher dog worth breeding off should take bambi and fox....FACT so if you had a pure coursing dog that took hares for fun,,,, but wouldnt touch deer or fox,,,, you would not think it worth breeding from??? Are pure coursing dogs not usually saluki greyhounds not lurchers? have a look at a grayhound and have a look at a coursing hound some difrence in size and waight greyhound for short busts coursing hound for stamina atb coursing greyhounds and track greyhounds are pretty much the same height now a days isnt really alot seperates them, ive a grayhound in my kennel 29inch 39kilo and hes atrack dog Quote Link to post
chrisbullx 2,541
I a lot of people put minshaw dogs down but how can you judge & puts these dogs down if never seen 1 run or own 1 its impossible to do in my opinion unless you seen 1 run on all tack then you can judge them!!! I've never seen minshaw run so I can't judge simple as that!!! To many jealous lads in this game in my opinion atb cbx Edited January 13, 2012 by chrisbullx Quote Link to post
