castration /vasectomy

i have 5 hob ferrets and 2 jills is it worth me keeping the jills sperate or would it be more benificial to castrate/vasectamise the hobs or can jills be castrated very confusing for me im new to all this

Ok if you get the hobs vasectomised then they can still hump your gills when they come into season and not get them up the duff. But as you only have 2 gills it may be cheaper to get them done and then you wouldnt have to worry about having kits. But if you got your hobs castrateedc then you wouldnt be able to bring your gills out of heat and would need a hob to service them or get them jabbed .

how much would it cost to have the jills vasectamised and will it effect them working

Cost depends on the vet best thing to do is ring around......and no it wont affect them working.

i no some people who never bring there gills out of season and have never had any trouble with them, (these people are old gamekeepers) an old gamekeepr told me it does them no harm whatsoever, and he has had ferrets for over 50yrs
