Recommended Posts

you are scottish though lab.you live here, speak in a scottish accent everyone you meet knows that the min you open your mouth.no one can take that away from you mate.not that anyone wants to. glad to hear your not daft enough that you would put your future and scotlands future in jepordy through some misguided ties with ireland though. pity others didnt feel the same as you mate.no matter anyway it will never happen, and i for one will piss myself laughing at salmon and his merry band of followers whe scotland is nally allowed to speak on this. wait and see though come 2013 he will try and bribe folk with freebies and handouts to bolster his cause. no matter to that c**t if were skint as long as he gets his seperation, cause him and his party are anti englis to the point i wanna throw up.

his anti bigotry campaign ge is putting across the boards here,is just hypocrisy, especially when he is just as much a poisones bigot himself.

Yeh Salmon's just a power monger and if he got so called independence he'd hand it all right to the EU and then jump on the gravey train for his pay out like the rest of those gready tw*ts..   In th

id be happier if they just sorted this whole poxy island an its mess 1st, then maybe ask again

Most scots in the borders are of angle descent anyway apparently

Mate i have no ties with Ireland.......i dont buy into that stuff. Maybe futher back in the family theres an Irish family member but not that i know off and just because i support the best team in Scotland... ;) doesn't mean i drape myself in shamrocks and drink guiness.... :D

Politics is not my thing.....learned a bit on here i might add but far far from educated or to be fair even interested in the whole affair. I suppose its a thinking with the head instead of the heart situation. I think most Scots, English, Welsh, Irish would rather be there on there own if they could financially look after themselves, nothing wrong with that i dont think....?

Why would anyone want to be part of "Britain"..........its f****d!!!

no and according to the poll i saw in the paper this morning, neither does the majority either. hence the reason why that arrogant c**t salmon keeps putting it off.

if anybodys an arrogant c**t its cameron ...mind hes got a good scots name an thats about all thats good about him  i liked the qout ...more pandas in scotland than tories..lolololol

they all are arrogant and concieted.however to gamble a nations future on some personal whim.its not only arrogant but extremely reckless. sever links with our neighbours who we get on with and share the same customs, language with,to jump into bed with brussels.mans a fukn idiot. wait till our oil revenues well whats left of it goes to prop up the economies of nations we have no ties with, and very little in common with.also i might add who look on the uk with utter contempt. yea sounds a brillaint plan eh. they even managed to get the yanks looking on scotland with distaste by allowing scotlands biggest mass murderer to go back home cause he was feeling a bit under the weather.

I wouldn't want Wales to be on it's on, especially with the way the world's going.. Increasing globalisation will lead to a far worse standard of living for your average Scot or Welshman if one of our countries were to go it alone. We'd inevitably end up more reliant on the EU than we are now, which IMO would totally defeat the object of independence in the first place

.

You say 'Who would want to be a part of Britain, it's f****d?'

Well that's true, but it's f****d all over, including Scotland and any problems you have up there now would be taken with you in the event of independence and IMO you'd be in a far worse position to deal with those problems once separated..

Salmond's grand plan for Scottish independence involves breaking with the UK and diving into the EU with both feet, including the ditching of Sterling and adoption of the Euro. He cast his greedy little eyes across the Irish sea at the 'Celtic Tiger' economy of Ireland and thought 'We can do that!' Given that Ireland's financial problems are worse than ours now, it's become clear that Ireland couldn't go on doing it, and what's happened since should serve as a stark warning, not an inspiration..

Just my opinion..

In the event of getting lost in politics mate i undersatnd that Britain is part od Scotland so obviously i was including us in being "f****d".

I did say "if we could be finacially stable" i think most would rather be independant. Are you saying you still rather be classed as British if Wales could 100% stand on its own two feet? Not saying theres anything wrong with that if you do....just my opinion and beliefs on the matter... :victory:

It doesn't make a bit of difference to me Lab, I'm Welsh and that's all there is about it. My country is part of a nation of countries who combine to make something far greater than the sum of it's parts. I'm proud of this country of a whole and proud of it's achievements on the world stage. When I was in my late teens & early twenties, I would have quite happily voted for Welsh independence, but as I've matured I've realised that there are far more important things in life than being bitter at things that happened a few hundred years ago.
