gnipper 6,543
I'd use a springer hoping they would be too big to get to ground, bushing dogs are no good disappearing underground when your out. Quote Link to post
mighty celt 996
my pal used to have a cocker terrier years ago,was probly the best bushing dog i have ever seen this dog wouldnt miss a beat, had to have a collar on her all the time as she was a cracking dog at finding charlie to ground and would stay every time till dug,was an ugly thing to look at but what a dog she was. rabbit slayer 22
I got to be honest guys, i think a spaniel is more than capable off bushing cover. No need to add terrier or anything else to them to work better or what ever. I think you would probably be taking a backward step if anything. Cant wait to see the reaction on the hound section. hahahaha Quote Link to post

buster gonads 862
I take a Cocker out bushing with me now and again and if the holes big enough he goes to ground, TBH i,ve never seen a dog better than a Spaniel for bushing, after saying that i wouldnt mind a Spaniel/terrier cross for bushing and you could also do a bit of ratting which a pure Spaniel might not be up for.
