am gonna leave it till march before a strip them down but was just wondering what methods lads on here were using to strip the old jackets off there terriers??

Fingers & thumb is the way to go. Don't use one of those stripping knives unless you blunt it first. You want to pull the hair not cut it.

If its ready to come out, why wait till March?

Get the shear out mate, the die hards will tell you that you must strip by hand but it's bollocks, how many hair cuts do they have every year and yet strangley there hair grows back as normal. Your dog is no different no matter what they say.

I hand strip my border. It is much easier on the dog and your fingers if you also use some stripping chalk.
