19powell90 89
Myself and my mate headed up to one of my permissions at 8am this morning and started off with a zero session for his new webley xocet .22, after being happy with the grouping we had a walk round the not so big piece of land which concluded in an empty bag. So off to the next permission which is another small one which consists of horse paddock and a very small wood, we went separate ways and i headed to the woodland area. Slowly creeping into the trees i noticed a familiar rustling noise and then saw the pesky squirrel jump into sight, i followed him as he made his way around the trees and then he came to a stop in a clearing so i raised the gun up to my shoulder, took aim to his head, TWACK he came down with a thump. I grabbed him and made my way back out towards the car where i saw my mate with a dove he shot in a tree. After packing up we headed over to another permission where as we got out of the car and jumped into the field i saw another squirrel sat on a fence around 20m away so i knelt down and took him with a beautiful headshot. we had a walk around the rest of the fields but nothing around so we headed back to the car. we packed the stuff and drove about 200m down the road where i said 'just pull in here mate, im going to see if this place has any problems with rabbits etc.' so after a chat with the owner of which she told us there are loads of rabbits, squirrels & pigeons in her garden she gladly said we can freely shoot them all!!!!!! So we grabbed the guns to have a look around the so called 'garden' WELL this place is a haven. upon entering the "garden" we spotted numerous squirrels running around the place and loads of pigeons in the trees. we had a walk around the place which consists of beautiful flat grassland with loads of tall trees and bushes and ponds and loads of cover. Honest to god this place is hunters heaven. we are over the moon, we didnt spot any rabbits but around us at the minute they dont seem to be out in the day so i will pop up one night this week with NV to check the place out. As we walked round my mate spotted a squirrel, so he took him straight down off a fence post. We went separate ways again and i spotted a squirrel gripped onto a tree trunk trying to hide so i knelt down, adjusted the mag to 4x and dropped him around 20m away. Then i met up with my mate where we both spotted another squirrel which was hiding around the other side of the tree trunk so we tried to draw him out, i finally got a good aim on his head and as i pulled the trigger i heard my mate also to take the shot from the other side of the tree, so a 'tag teamed' squirrel ended up in the bag. after that we fooked off hope you enjoy the read heres a pic from earlier on in the day, i didnt get a chance to take another Quote Link to post

When it arrived in the post in a cardboard tube it felt empty ( the cardboard tube ). you know how heavy the hw one is on its own!!! plus the added bonus of more shots, mine did around 50 and now it will push 100 and the balance of the rifle is soooooo much nicer. atb scott Quote Link to post
