lanesra 3,994
Not a sending off in a million yrs , showed how strong city are OR how weak united are , any team down to 10 men and 3 nil down should not be able to turn it round the way city did , i think united are droppin down to Arsenals level now bringin back great players who arent great anymore , if city progress over the next 2 seasons the way they have the last 2 they will dominate english football . I seem to remember Utd winning 4-2 at Highbury with 10 men a few years back against a team containing Veira, Pires, Henry, et al. It was 2-2 at the sending off, IIRC.. scholes is a utd legend, but theres a big difference between training wi the reserves and playing a 3rd round cup tie against your neighbours,he was out of his depth, kinel i was cringing everytime he got the ball fergie needs a replacement, and let us remember scholes for what he's done in the past Don't be too hasty Craigy mate, check the stats. Paul Scholes: 71 passes after he came on (97% completed) More than any blue shirted player managed in the whole game.. ..or so I just read!

Malt 379
maybe mate but he hardly passed to anyone more than 6 ft away and when he did i was cringing, maybe thats the other 3% Most of that 3% was probably the goal he set up are Aguaro! We still desperately need a world class midfielder. Shame that Cleverly has been out injured for so long, he started the season well.

What you are sayin united done to Arsenal is exacly what i mean , a team that can compete with a man down against there rivals shows to me the strength off that team , city really impressed me with there 2nd half performance which with 10 men they won 2 nil , dont think there will be a city fan dissapointed with there team today , though cant see the ref being given the same response , i thought his sending off was a disgrace and without doudt swung the tie in uniteds favour ,

Dunno about the sending off though, two footed sliding tackles have been iffy for a long time.. Could have gone either way IMO.
