how many times

Recommended Posts

Reading a topic the other day somebody commented that people dig to their terriers 20 times and think they have a good dog, now to me that seems a fair amount, I work six days a week so that leaves just sundays and if you start the season in september and end in march like I do thats 7 months or 28 sundays then what if your sick on one of them sundays or your dog is sick or injured, what if theirs family commitments, your car wont start or horror of horrors you blank, what if you take a few dogs with you and only one gets a dig due to time or the amount of game to ground, after all im talking of one individual terrier getting the work not you. Im sure their is a million other reasons that can stop you getting out but I have just laid down some of the obvious ones, so unless your employed in pest control, unemployed or just have a lot of time on your hands your limited when you can get out. So the question is how many times do you expect to dig to one individual dog a season im probably around fifteen give or take, honest answers only fellas no fairy tales or bull shit needed.

You're right, a man that works five days a week and only gets the weekend of will get less time to work their dog! Me personally will only get the weekends of to work my dogs up until Christmas . But in January and feb I get a lot more time of so I tend to get more sport towards the second half of the season. So to answer you're question yes I would be happy with 20 digs in a season but then I also know that I haven't got dogs that have been tested truly ! But im happy with my dogs I would be happier with more digs through the season but I've got bills to pay and mouths to feed! JMHO
