Hywel 53
Do any of you feed DOC's to your ferrets as an alternative to rabbits and if so, are you happy with them? Quote Link to post
The one 8,482
No chance there just fluff in a shell never had time to grow muscle etc ,To many eggs can make your ferrets bald and the fluff can irrate the mucus membranes in the throat . What you paying for a box of D.O. C. ? you can get a 13 kilo box of chicken carcasses for £7 Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
Use them every now and then, once/twice a month. They hold little nutritional value, the feathers can damage the ferts oesophagus if fed often. Nice for a treat/change, but not any use for a stable diet. Atb. 2 Quote Link to post

jacker1994 3
im an underkeeper and we always have birds that are of no value to the game dealer e.g been shot to low or mauled by over keen dog or just generally damaged used to throw them in the dead pit before i gt ferrets now i just feed them those if you have a shoot near buy track the keeper down and ask him he has any damaged stock he should just give them to you as they have no value but if u do have to pay will be pence Quote Link to post

As I had been involved in a conversation about DOC's, I asked the question for when the bunnies dry up.... Quote Link to post
