johnny boy68 11,726
I wear boots(Tresspass) and when the weather dictates I put gaiters on with them, Jai wears muck boots and some of the squeaking noises they make where the linings worn on them drives me up the wall, sounds like a constipated Buzzard. 1 Quote Link to post

Jingo 6
Just get british army issue, take ya a week or two of blisters to break in but once thats out the way they last atleast 2 years and if kept polished up wont get any water through them. Strong boot, warm, waterproof and plenty of grip. Job Done. 1 Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
Excellent grip, muck books, i was going down a wet grass hillside wearing muck boots, there was a fence running down the slope, the feet just went from me, i grabbed the fence, to cushion my fall, ended up with four stiches on my finger, muck boots no grip, emailed the company about this, and the didnt have the decency to reply. ended up screwing wader studs in to them. would not buy another pair. Neal 1,866
I bought Grubbs Stalker wellies too after similar problems to those stated above with Muck Boots. I find them just as comfy but much better grip and a lot more hard wearing thanks to the vibram sole. I think this is my third winter in mine. They're not perfect but then most footwear isn't...hence our endless search...and all these threads that we all love reading so much! Quote Link to post
