Roadside warren's

Recommended Posts

Was out again this morning with Lamp's doing the few roadside warren's that border the Winter Wheat field's that we have recently picked up. You can see that the little Buggar's have had there fair share off here now . . .

So the farmer wanted a few thinning out. Also out with us today was a local lad Brett who like's his Ferreting and so he brought his 3 Jill's with him to give them a run out. He also brought with him his self knitted brightly coloured net's that we thought would come in Handy, as altho the Farmer had been up to sythe the cover down with his tractor there was still a fair amount of brash lying on top.

With me only being used to Hemp or Greeny brown spun poly after laying a few of these bright un's it was like I had been in a bloody disco :D

All of the warren's were like the 2 pic's above for a stretch of around 200 odd yard's. We were lucky with the rabbit's all bolting well with no dig's at all and also none carrying young either ;) The luck carried on as we set off home aswell, when we called into the next farm along for a bit of permission and managed to secure another 400 acre's :D

Finshed the morning with 27 . . . .
