ftm 3,357
went for a stroll on a bit of land[permission]not toofar from home and noticed a lot of corvids in one spot so i sneaked up to see what was attracting them and hoped for a quick kill. any way they spotted me and they were off ,on closer inspection it turned out to be a dead ewe that had got itself stuck in the fence the corvies had stripped a fair size hole in it and i was sure they would be back .i tucked myself in behind a large beech tree and waited and waited and yes you guessed it waited lol.Any way just when i was about to move on a magpie called near by so ithought to myself wait a little longer and then another called and i could see it about 40 yds away but obstructed by branches then from nowhere a crow came and landed 20 ft away and i didnt need a second chance at it and it fell stone dead only to be mobbed by the 2 magpies,i reloaded the rapid and slowly put the cross hairs on one and it too died a quick death its mate flew away cackling as it went,i decided to stay put and was rewarded 15 minutes later with another magpie.i walked outto pick them up and a crow showed itself 30 yds away and i decided to give it a shot and bingo! it fell from the top of a tree but was still alive so i dispatched it as quickly as i could and decidedto call it a day .
