Scurry any ideas

We are having a Gundog scurry at the Heart of Wales Game and country fair 18th 19th August 2007 we have over 350 acres at the showground access to all sorts of materials what do you consider to be a good scurry ie size length materials ie gorse bushes straw bales logs????????

a good scurry needs to have meduim to heavy cover and a water retrieve to test the ability of the dogs ..........

What is the minimum depth and length of pool

as long as the dogs are tested with a swim and not wading then the depth can be as deep as you want ... the dummy should be thrown out to around 20 to 25 meters ...........

I dont but the people who are organising it do they do quite a few,as its the first one I want to make it memorable for competitors if I can.

alright lads was wondering how them scurrys work is it fastest time in the retrieve or is it like them fancy field trials with well trained dogs

Seen the Dog scurry at the Welsh Game Fair have a better idea of what we need to do,will try to make ours more testing,after discussing it with several competitors,on land and water.
