shaunpauls7 131
I put this post up a while back and never got a reply so thought i would try again.I got myself a new pup to run on for next season a couple of months back.I was wondering if anyone runs this cross or have seen this cross run. This is the first time i have ever ran anything with saluki in the make up.Have read a few post on here about saluki crosses and training has to be done with a different approach as they can be very headstrong? I am wanting to know what there are like in the field and general obedience. Atb shaun Quote Link to post

Atb shaun need a scanner to put old pics up. her sire was 26ts 3rd gen collie/grey dam was 25 saluki /grey . she was nothing to look at but a bitch with a big heart who always tried her best. she was only ever run on rabbits and hares. hares being her main quarry. good luck with the pup. obi2 239
That sounds a cracking cross, should be a handy dog, well done. Like people are saying the saluki crosses are very sensitive and I found that they cant take the same scolding as other crosses. They will try your patience with there weirdness and jumpyness but the most important thing is to get that bond with them and then take it from there. Once that is in place there a joy to work with IMO. Quote Link to post
