went out last thursday with my bitch and my mates pup of her ad a few runs went home to get another two dogs as these were f***** when we got home his pup was fitting took it the vet they had it for a week and fed it charcoal got it back and turns out its blind they dont know if it will get its sight back the only thing we can think of is it drank out of a puddle does anyone no what sort of chemical wouled cause this

 

Did the vet DEFINATELY say it was some kind of poisening ? I ask, because you say the dogs were f****d, and it's a pup, (how old ?), and it seems like it had a stroke or some sort of aneurism. I remember LDR's dog, Billy had the same symptoms after a hard night on the lamp; fitting, and went blind. Had to be put to sleep. Hope this isn't the case here, and the pup makes a full recovery !

its a chemical for crops or grass to help grow but also it is mixed with another chemical so the rabbits dont eat the farmers veg ect.... but hope the pup recovers atb bud

Antifreeze (Ethanol poisoning)well know for causing blindness it could also be the pups blood pressure was so high and with the fitting its brain damage of a sort.My cat was recently poisoned and they thought it was ethanol cos of his lack of vision turns out to be 2 things but he had a stroke after his blood pressure flew up
