Call Bird Wanted

Hi, can anyone help me out with a call bird for my Larsen trap, after a magpie based in Cheshire, will return the favour when I start catching. Thanks, Rich

Couple of chicken eggs in a old nest and bread on top of the trap and you should catch em up-unless they wise to the trap-bit of advise when you do catch birds-take them away from the call bird and knock on head but what ever you do dont let call bird see or hear you or you will struggle to catch again-keep moving around-chicken sheds next to tree,bush as they dont like landing out in the open-id give you one but im in wales mate-but hope the tips help you out.atb

Cheers for reply, I have got an old blackbirds nest with eggs & a couple of egg shells in, bread on top & under a tree, they are landing in tree & having a look but not gone near trap yet. Do you think if I shot one and propped it up in trap they would come down, think they may be wise to traps as it is on a farm & may have seen them before?? Thanks, Rich

Try using a mirror!!! So when the bird looks in it will see it's self!! 110% works!! Then you got your call bird
