New Deer Hunting Calls App

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I just launched two new apps for the iPhone and one of them is designed to better help you hunt deer. Thought you guys would be interested and would like to give me some feedback!

Here are some of the features:

  • combine calls
  • Instructions
  • loud, clear sounds

And here's a couple of screenshots:

You can check out the app here: App Store - Deer.Calls

Your feedback is very important. Please help me improve my app by giving me any suggestions!

Also, if you like it, please rate it and review it in iTunes :)

Thanks and Happy Hunting!

Personally I have never had any luck with deer calls. We are not allowed to use electronic calls here in Nova Scotia but if they work anything like the grunt call, doe in heat, fawn, doe bleat, rattling with a set of antlers, etc. which we use then I can't see how it would work unless you are on a game farm or where deer are used to people. I have seen videos of people using calls but the deer are in a fenced in area or the surrounding area appears it is close to residential areas. Not only that, ever notice in some of the videos how several deer come running to the sound of these calls, it has to be a sanctuary or farm where these are located. Deer, here in Nova Scotia, are very timid creatures and any foreign smell or noise send them running.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying your electronic calls don't work as I have never used one. I only know from 30 years of deer hunting experience in Nova Scotia, Canada, the ones, not electronic, I have used do not work as well as they are advertised.

Hopefully, someone on the forum will show that I am wrong.

Cheers and safe hunting

Rob
