New camera for night time shooting with the IR300 review

Recommended Posts

This is me testing my new Sony Handycam DCR – PC101E that I won on EBay with my Nite – Hunter IR300 laser illuminator.

The new Handycam has a ¼ chip sensor in it so filming night vision scenes through my scope in the future will be really easy and have great brightness and contrast giving a better picture.

I’m looking forward now to filming some vermin shooting in the near distant future with the camera and laser.

Enjoy

hi John

I think its on the other post?

the laser is around £120.00 mark I think ?

and a Sony handy cam with night shot, you can pick up for about £80.00 to 120.00 on the bay if your lucky?

hope this helps

The Sony camera I got for Lesley years back had a great night shooting facility, unfortunately it's so heavy it's no good for attaching to a scope (unless static).

Other problem was it's DVT rather than HD or SD card. Shame really as the stills are almost as fantastic as the video!

Yeah was on the other post lol, thats what going back to work after the holiday period does to you haha.

Thats not a bad price at all for the set up. I supose you have to have some decent glass on top of the rifle aswell?

What about the video editing software?

Thanks again

Yes having a good scope does help as the camera is looking down your optics.

Video editing software is pretty easy to get and is free if you use the Windows Movie Maker.

I have 2 main software's that I use.

Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 Ultimate and Cyber Link Power Director 10 Deluxe.

The first one I favour more as I find it easy to use.
