irish lads

Recommended Posts

i have heard 98fm had chat about a ban on hunting

they had a poll too.

did not hear the chat show but i heard we hunters lost

with only 38% which sounds like a fix to me.

is this the start to something in ireland.

hope not and i think if any political party

tries this it might be their last season to be elected.

we might be in the same possition as our english friends soon.

i really think the people that run countrys have not got a clue some times.

when i was younger we had our dogs and our horses to keep us

out of harms way and give us some responsibility in looking after them.

after tightining up the laws on horses and pounding around most areas.

is it no wonder we have problems these days with gangs on corners and drugs.

young lads of today cant be all bad and when our goverments

are taken young peoples interests away from them.

what can they expect with young people getting bored .

hope some has hard the programme from this site as i am not sure

what was said on the radio programme.

half of theses w***ers that voted no to hunting.

are probably having a nice lump of steak now the idiots. :censored:

That fool Maher of the CAI proposed the poll, a stupid thing to do by any stretch of the imagination. Most people interested in country sports would be unaware of it in any case.

All he has done is play the anti's publicity game, the fecking eejit.

Only that I happened to look at the CAI website yesterday did I see the request for people to vote on that stupid pole. Who the hell listens to 98 fm anyway, for christs sake.

I have to say, I'm disappointed with him. He's supposed to administer the CAI's business in munster and the west, not pull dumb ass stunts like this.

Macnas its 96 fm your on about and they have the highest listnership in the Munster region. But that poll is just a load of shite in my opinion. But of course complaicency was the downfall of many things. We are ok for the next few years I'd say but youd never know.

Jigsaw

Went back to the CAI website and checked again, only to find that they are stating the pro-hunting vote was 12000, and the anti vote was 147.

I've checked the 96fm site but cannot find the poll results anywhere, including the archive.

I'd love to eat my hat on this one, and proclaim Phillip Maher a PR genius, instead of a fecking eejit.

I still think polls like this are a bad idea, but then, what the feck do I know.

the polls a crap i do agree

but they seem to have alot of pull.

with one of the biggest marches ever done from the hunting people

in england which was beyond belief of how many stood up for their selves

and the wa***rs still got their way.

what chance have we got?

lucky enough there is more small towns in ire than big cities.

as show man said prepare better to prepare

as them antis will never give up.

agree with him there is still a few years left.

your spot on macker. now is the time to let our voices be heard. no use protesting when the legislation is in the dail. its important that lads join assoc's like the countryside alliance or any organisation that represents their sport like the NARGC or the HAI because the more members these have the bigger voice they have. also if and when we are called on to protest, which i think should be sooner rather then later, its important that every hunter shooter fisherman hawker eg..gets out and makes noise. there a lessons to be learned from what happened across the water and one of them is that we need to be on the offenive now and be a lot more active or even militant in our approach. io think a massive march should be called for to nip this thing in the bud early.
