thursodog 353
In my limited experience it definatly makes a big difference in the zero of my .243 fitted with a T8 mod. Cock on with mod and a mile out once removed. If i store the rifle vertical with the mod on, some products of burnt powder drop into the cleaned barrel so i always take of the mod when the rifles in storage then attatch prior to hunting, which incidently doesn't alter the zero. Hope this helps. Atb Chris. 1 Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
You will almost certainly get a different point of impact mod on and mod off. Removing and replacing the mod shouldn't affect zero, and it's not considered good to leave a mod on, as it means all the gases evolved in firing are retained close to the muzzle and can cause crown damage. daz 0
leave my t8 on my .223.had no problems.only take the mod of to give it a clean with wd40 once a month. Quote Link to post
cragman 2,791
I spray my T8 every time I use it with a touch of WD40 and leave it to stand for a day somewhere in the house. After that I store it in the ammo safe. My rifle's zeroed for use with the mod on and zero isn't affected when I come to use the mod again, which is what the question was I think. 1 Quote Link to post

Well done Cragman, someone who reads the question! It will not affect the zero taking it on an off for storage. Quote Link to post
billbroon 9
Cheers guys, didnt think the post was to hard to understand. So i will store the rifle with mod off and it shouldnt effect the zero taking it on and off. Cheers Quote Link to post
