the breeder is to blame i cant see any good dogging man leaving a terrier with a long tail'.. well at least not were im from hope you get it sorted good luck..

 

a good working dog man would know that the tail aint going to make a sods difference to the dogs working ability. ive often wondered why terrierfolk that feel strongly against the show scene. and money market dont stop docking. as it would help them avoid show folk and would reduce the value of the pup sensable work oriented folk will value good workers. with or without tails.. or will they .

my mate had the same problem the pup was 9 wks an he docked it the pup didnt even blink but do it wrong an it will b blood everywere an it will b in pain

Six weeks far too late to dock, lamb rings totally ilegal my old man is dealing with a guy in Scotland getting prosecuted for this and you have just put it out on the web so don't be surprised to hear a knock at your door

as some 1 said before so is pissing in the street as well as a number of stupid things there is no way i would go to a vet and get a tail docked i have used lamb rings and my father and his father and never had a proplem

Well if you were going to do it...its far too late now as you have aired it on here.

So any sniff of bother and you will be in the shit for it.

 

It wont affect the dogs working ability in any way so leave it be.

I was gifted a bitch pup that was to old to be docked , so I just left her with a long tail. It's never affected her working ability at all ! In saying that I do prefer my dogs to be docked .

im getting mine done tommorow,they are 3 days old and costing me 10 pound a tail. the vet told me they couldnt be over 4 days old.

Ethical dilemma time dude, put your dog down a hole to possibly scrap with a furry critter and maybe get half his mush chewed off and be a good sport, or cut its tail off in the name of aesthetics and be a c@nt. A hard one to choose really damned if you do damned if you dont Good Luck Dude
