fighting dogs

hi all have got a bull cross and a terrier kenneled up they have bin together for 2 years now but in the last 2 weeks they have had 3 bad fights but they only fight when am their the terriers staying in the house now thats it, have u lads had any problems like this?

lurchers and terriers kenneled together is never a good idea pal terriers will start a fight with there shadow given the chance

you will have no terrier if you keep them together. its better to keep them apart

Never had any problems with lurchers and terriers kenneled together.But a few of the lads have lost good terriers.At the first hint of hassle split them up or you may lose a terrier.

i lost a good terrier to a kennel fight mate split them up and dont let them in same kennel together anymore not worth the risk atb.

best to split them ul end up wi a lurcher on the DLA and a dead terrier. every good working dog is always the dominant dog especially terriers cosa the job they do so 2 ,3,4 or 5 dominant dogs will always fight to sort rank out in the 1 run. and a good big dog will always beat a good we dog

my mates dog was killed by a big bull grey kennelled together. it was the lurchers feeding time.

to be onist mate its a bit of a daft thing to do kenneling a bull x with a terrior. thairs always a chance that they could fight at eny time so best to avvoid kenneling them togeher. i now a lad that baught a terrior put it in the pen with a bull x and the next morning the terrior was dead.

Had my lurcher shake the terrier around by the head, lurcher done well for months and turned her head even if the terrier was hanging of her face,terrier now knows her place and they get on like they grew up from pup, bottom line is the terrier got too big for her boots and lurcher put her in her place.

it ok saying that mate but wat if the lurcher killed the terrior??? if you dont mind your dogs fighting in the kennels mate then thats up to you

My dogs are now seperated as the terrier in my avatar is a bit wild and will start fights with my lurcher and other terrier for fun best to stop it now before something bad happens

I take it they are both dogs? And you mean "they fight when you are there." They fight when you are there because they are getting excited and they are competing for your attention etc. And two dogs kenneled together is never a good idea.

My terrier and lurcher were together from pups - for 8 years - I've been on here saying they're settled and nothing would go wrong - not too big to admit I was wrong and wish I'd have listened to advise now - lost my terrier about 6 weeks ago - RIP Jess.. Only myself to blame. Seperate them.

My mate had a bull cross kenneled at his place for a short while and a very brief fight with a terrier while out in the yard ended in the terrier having to be shot as it was that badly mauled. I just would'nt chance kenneling 2 such dogs together full stop.
