Highly unusual for someone to cross the street and stab someone....tell that to the family of 16yr old Mark Scott I'm sure they'll take great comfort from your observations.

If the police had done their job properly in the first place these scum would be coming to the end of their sentence instead of beginning it. They got to live their life have relationships etc etc something SL never had the chance to do.

 

As for your comments about believing he had in some way been partly responsible for these lowlifes attacking him...do you base that on anything other than your own prejudice?

 

I only hope none of you find yourself or members of your family in a similar position

It,s the pc thing and the fear of being called racist thats got the average white fella , scared , mixed up and resentful , just using the correct terminology is a minefield , is it coloured , mixed race , black , afro carribean , you,v got to stand next to a muslim wearing a back pack at the airport and not show that your arse is twitching , you can,t show suprise that a 18 year old murder involving young men ( an all to common occurence ) is still having millions of pounds and the full force of the government and media thrown at it , you can,t be dissapointed that the victims mum , wnen justice was finally done , chose to villify a whole country with not one word of thanks to the many white people who spen 18 years helping her get that justice ,

It,s not right that a whole section of society can,t express thier thoughts on a whole range of subjects because of fear .

Gnasher, I'm not black but had black girlfriends and have black mates. The first black guy I ever met was a lad who sat next to me in school. On his first day he was kicked unconscious. On his last day at school he was headbutted. For the crime of being black. I think that's wrong.

It does not take a genius to work out that more crime is committed by young, working class men who have feck all.The poorer, the more alienated and the more hopeless your future seems the more likely you are to commit crime. Fact.

The prisons aren't full of white middle class kids because they have all the money. It's an undisputed fact that more than percent of wealth in this country is owned by 7 percent of the population. That's wrong and is bound to lead to resentment and crime.

I'm genuinely shocked Gnasher that you resent a flagstone being made into plaque to commmemorate a boy's senseless murder. At least we've kept this thread civil and not full of keyboard warrior stuff. I've had my say and am signing off this thread.

This is the type of thing that gets people down....when folk make excuses for the obvious truth or plain ignore the truth for fear of offending somebody..........so is it only blacks who are " poor,alienated,with hopeless futures " ?.......blacks are implicated in more crimes than whites because percentage wise blacks commit a far higher number of crimes than whites do.....you might not like that but its the truth......black youths are 6 times more likely to commit crime than white youths.......now if you take into account that blacks as an ethnic minority group make up less than 4% of the uk population i find that staggering...dont you ?...or should we only whisper things like that incase we offend somebody.

Theres a well known saying i like " never be a fool to your own intelligence "......and you sound an intelligent enough chap so why make excuses when the truth is out there.

Been an interesting little debate anyway,all the best.
