paulus 26
Aa i said earlier would be impossible here so a dog of that type would not be worth keeping, you can only catch whats on the ground around here that varies from place to place hence i require a dog thats more of an all rounder rather than a specialist Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Its all down to personal preference, i am very impressed by any dog that has the stamina and ability to catch 100 rabbits, how many are run altogether to get that figure, 120,130,150? The one thing these threads highlight is all 32,000 member own super dogs as nobodys dog can ever do enough to impress them.......... Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,328
Spot on Whin about the £££ side of things..in all honesty i can whole heartedly say i've took far more hares than rabbs in my lifetime...why? Because of the ££££..had a fiver a piece for them for many a season..bought em whole and frozen, just waited until i had 300-400 as that was all you could fit in a Ford Transit and that was including the front passenger seats including footwell lol...bunnies were 30p at the game dealers so not worth a toss in all honesty BUT to catch a hundred with ONE dog would be some feat imo? Atb matey...keep on keeping on .ATB Andy. Quote Link to post

And anyone eles if its that easy why anit it a common thing then cause apart from Tomo and Andy ect i anit heard of it done with 2 dogs, I know jim gets about and he's another that could do the ton with ern and the fella that owns gaffer and the gaffer dog, Iam sure MB could do it with a few of his If it honestly anit nothing why anit it done often..? No matter where you go? 1 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Don't matter where you are, 100 rabbits in one sessions with one dog is still impressive. Mind you it's going to happen less and less. Look at caithness. Dales will be the same way in not too long. Always happens when lots of folk get to know about it and want to rush in to make their name with the big bags. EIther kills off all the game or gets too hot. Quote Link to post
