YES YOU NEED A DOG, BUT NOT A RUNNER OF SORTS, I ALWAYS HAVE A COUPLE A TERRIERS USUALY A HARD ONE FOR THIS TYPE OF SINARIO. ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, BUT IF YOU LIKE THE BULLX TYPE AND WANT TO TEST THEM.... WHY ON FOX THERE NO MACH, THIS IS JMO, AND ALWAYS MANAGED WITH NO PROBLEM TO HANDLE THEM. OR DISPATCH, I DO LIKE TO HOLD BEFOR LETTING THEM RUN, AND YES IVE BIN BITTEN WHICH HAS LEARNT ME TO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF RESPECT.

The reason why a lot of us irish lads, release our quarry is because we hunt to work our terriers! NOT to kill. Yes some people run them for lurchers but some of us only work terriers so its not abou

I agree that's why the standard of working terriers over here is higher as they are dug to on a regular basis on quarry that is very well educated. It's a better test and it's been proven.

Lads get a grip we are all in the one game so should be all on the 1 side, and who gives a toss what way the fox is taken out,let it be by hand or lurcher or draw dog, everyman to his own.

i hapend too mention i used my bullx to draw a fox

and then i got slated for it.

Whats the problem with that if thats what i use him for ?

Its illegal and you're admitting to doing it on an open internet site full of antis and coppers

I've no doubt he's just after attention just like the rest of us and would never dream of doing such a thing, it's all bravado and made up shite lol.

I like to see a wheaten work as a draw dog ,that what they are bred for and sometimes i like to lift a fox by the scruf take out into the field and give the lurcher a run on him and sometimes i will lift a fox and let him run to be found another day ,it all depends on which land i'm working and whether or not the fox needs to be culled

some men have no acess to firearms and when your 5 foot down and the terrier is slaughered its nice to have a drawing dog to call on

That is when a terrier man shows he is not just a man who keeps terriers.
