ferret court design

A mate has just built a ferret court. 2 by 2 wood

Frame around 8ft across 4ft wide and 5 foot high. Big opening doors onthe front and a couple of pipes cemented under the ground.

 

that may be my project for the summer i think, sounds good :thumbs:

Ahem !!! I think you have been listening to unsavoury types Lee,, I`ll have you know I did LOADS of work on that,,, and the kennels,, my little advisor helped,, but I`m sure I did the most !!!! lol

Got offered one of those chicken coops for €40 and im waiting to get it picked up......i thought it'd be grand for my ferts

They are great matee,, can be a pain in certain ways,, I want to split the door in two,, make it earier for the missus, feeding etc,, they can be slightly awkward to cleen the upper,, but not too bad,, all in all I like em,,,, you might have to strengthen wee bits here and there though

Couple of thing to think about when your building -

 

Feeding them.

 

Cleaning them out.

 

Seperating jills / hobs / nursing / whatever if need be.

 

And that underground pipes are daft, they just drag carcasses down, they rot and its generally wank for all concerned if its in your garden and the ferrets yard.

Yeah i had a good look at it and will modify it slightly .....nice idea there with the bottom section you done. What base you use on the floor? is it marine ply?

 

No chance of my missus feeding them :icon_eek: :icon_eek: She wont go near em :censored:
