can you use this lamp all round or is it just for once the course is on? just wondering as i have seen this done on youtube a few times. small lamp then oncve the chase is on the big lamp?

i use the striker and the blitz the blitz is a tad brighter and just goes further

blitz all the way for me,with the slips i get anything smaller just wouldnt do the job.

the reason you see a bigger lamp coming on when you watch these lamp videos is simply because the camera can not see the run aswell with the small lamp and if you are scanning with the big one all the time you will scare everything in i hear if you get a blitz handle and use a striker head spose to be good i alwase use 150 watt bulb in my striker if you can get them that is i went to an electritions shop and got mine

I can vouch for that set up ardly ad any use at all bet it's only been out a dozen times

Yes fellah the variable one is certainly a handy bit of kit, And yes IMHO a better lamp just because you more control on the amount of light you use and likes been said when you have the variable one you can put any the 3 heads on the handle the lance/striker/blitz all fit on the same handle......
