Urban Fox Control London 8
I have settled for a BSA Ultra Multi Shot .22 calibre to be used on feral pigeon control contracts. . What sold it to me was how quiet it was with a Weihrauch sound moderator, ease to load/cock and weight. I have gone for the hand pump for the time being. It is currently being a total pig and I haven't even re-charged it yet. The air is simply blowing back escaping from the hose. It must be set-up to be charged by a suba bottle. No allen key was supplied to remove the air restrictor valve inside the adaptor as was ment to be which I presume is why I will not charge. Watch this space !!!! secretagentmole 1,701
No, no, no, no, no! Check that everything is done up tight on the pump! Check that the probe is tightly on the filler line and that the filler line is tightly on the pump! Then follow the advice of the people here! http://www.pyramydair.com/article/Using_a_hand_pump_May_2006/30 If it is a second hand pump it could need a new line, I had that problem with my first pump which was secondhand, luckily the RFD we bought it from replaced the line free of charge! 1 Quote Link to post

Urban Fox Control London 8
Thanks. The air resevior is empty. The instructions say cock the rifle to prevent air leaking. I have made sure the all lines and fixtures are tight to no avail. There is no pressure resistance or build-up at all? Going to take it back this morning. Haven't even shot a pellet out of it yet. Thanks for the link with regards to the hand pumps. Buster321c 1,010
Have you taken the restrictor screw out of the adapter ?? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Stupid question, but have you done the bleed screw on the pump up? Many people have been caught out that way! Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Hi The fist fill should be done with a dive bottle after that you will be OK. GO back to the shop and ask for a fill, they should not charge you Quote Link to post
Urban Fox Control London 8
All done !! Human error as usual..... I went back to the shop this morning. The adaptor that fits on the air hose needs to be screwed right in as tight as possible with a pair of spanners to ensure it all crimps together. Now this is done, I am looking forward to zeroing it in and next feral pigeon treatment. Thanks to The Air Gun Store, Forest Road, Loughton, Essex and everyone that made suggestions. villaman 9,983
Hi Glad you have it sorted know. I would only fill it to 180- 190 bar you will have more full power shots than filling to the recommended 232 bar. A Lot of people use RWS super fields in BSA they seem to like them Are you going to have a reg fitted ? Quote Link to post
Urban Fox Control London 8
Thank's for that. I have filled it up to about 190 and will keep topping it up as and when I use it. It's so quiet with the weihrauch moderator. Quote Link to post
