Hmr Hunter 2
A few months back was shown by the farmer a little spot I previously hadn't shot on his land which was riddled with rabbit, they would regular see 40 on a small field, I would go out and get a nice few a night. One night picked up one with Mixy, a few nights later another 2, within a week the whole place was wiped out. Sad Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
Thinking about again im not sure there has to be one specific reason but i do think it has got alot to do with Mixi and the BOP increase. 15-20 years ago i would see 10-15 rabbits in the field where my rearing field is. I'd take the gun out and shoot a few, not many. Some for my Grandad to make dinner with and some for the dogs. I remember stalking through the long grass and shooting them as they tried to break for the wood....one sticks in my mind when i shot it "thumping" trying to alert the others. Now this piece of land was never snared, trapped, gassed or ferreted. Just me taking the odd one for the pot. Then mixi hit the place and you would see fewer and fewer every year...now theres none. Not one!! Shame cause i liked to pop the odd rabbit or 2 Quote Link to post
