Malt 379 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 Anybody here got one? The daughter had an ipod touch for Christmas & I'm seriously impressed with it. It's coming up time to replace the creaking old desktop PC and after having a mess about with the ipod, I'm seriously thinking about doing away with the PC all together in favour of an ipad. I don't do much with the PC apart from browse the web and download (legally..) films/music/etc, and all that could be taken care of on the acer netbook we've also got. I could easily get a USB cd/dvd writer to use with the netbook if we find that we're missing out with that function of the PC, but with the falling price of memory cards I reckon I could live without it. A really good tool. Edited to add as I was typing the above I downloaded the book cry havock a history of war dogs from the book app Took about 30 seconds. Brilliant. Crystal clear screen, lightweight. Got lots of other useful things too , i just cant think of the things she mentioned.... Get the cash out and treat yourself...... LOL mate a ipod touch and a ipad are diffrent things altogeather used a ipad for ages top bit of kit the ipad lacks a few bits and pices what a laptop has media player and that and laptops are a little easier to use<and a fairbit cheeper> for the older folk nuffing funnier than watching a old timer have a mess with mordern tecnology Quote Link to post Share on other sites
