  That's why they have their own class's....... ...'cos they aint a lurcher...   Of course they're lurchers!....   Plummer terriers have their own class's and they are still terriers!

I would call it a grey whippet with a touch of bull but that's just my opinion. Either way you look at it it's a lurcher so unless you think it 'bigs up' a dog to call it a bull cross why call it anyt

As far as i'm concerned a Lurcher is a Lurcher because of what it does, not what makes up it's breeding.   I've kept bull crosses for near 20 years but they are still Lurchers. As for the way they

i asked the same question not long ago,, i breed ma 1st cross bull bitch with a sulukigreyxbulldeer, the sires father was lurcher2lurcher an the dame was full grey, now ma pup is an out right all rounder long, tall very strong dog,, a would prefer to call him a lurcher but if a wis to show him the judge would probably throw me out of the lurcher section purely because of his build...so a wouldnt think it fair to call anything with bull in it an out right bullx, this is him 5 month ago...ATB THE HTL..

Very nice dog there, far as I'm concerned a bullx is either a half cross or the majority % is bull anything else is lurcher.

Personally don't see the need for a separate class at shows myself.

The reason lads will say bull x when asked is the same reason that say a saluki x grey owner or a collie x grey owner will say that saluki or collie x when asked because you know as soon as you say lurcher the next question is "how's it bred"

i agree mate bulls should be pure bullgrey nothing else, can see the piont in different classes thou mate cause bulls would be frowned upon in lurcher section an probs never get a second glance,,,probably would cause some problems if a to bully looking lurcher beat a sleak looking colliegrey    and vice versa.. See the reason I asked is I was always led to believe a bullx was a dog that was purely bull and another breed like grey, whippet, deerhound or saluki. On here when someone says about bullxs people will put up pictures of dogs that are colle/grey x bull/grey or even bull/grey x whippet// salukixwhipey/grey and to me these are not bullxs, lurchers that contain bull but not a bullx imo.

IMO a bull cross is a lurcher that has bull in it but is thrown to the bull side, just because it has bull in its parents doesnt mean it inherits them characteristics.

well if its just got the 2 breeds bull and grey, its got more chance than if it had 3-4 other breeds in it .! With the right type bull , and most greyhounds have plenty of fire in there belly, thats what you will get with that bit of luck. Bullx grey or bullx whippet is what a bullx should be i think..!

Years ago I sat with a very well known dog man at the time he's passed now but he said this "

Put a proper bull to anything and it will improve the breed it's put to

I totally agree with that but I beleave the same with greyhounds it boils down to the genetics that make a running dog a running dog and a pit dog a pit dog there all special in there own wright and have years of best to best breeding and good genetics behind them' my point is in my opinion it dosent come much better than a 1st x bull grey

Two awsome athletes put together :) it makes sence and wether u think there lurchers or not there some animal and any breed with bull in is a bull x they have such an impact when bred to Orther dogs that I beleave it can never go unnoticed
