ortovox patroller

Recommended Posts

I tryed both of them with the mentioned collars. Measure accuracy is better with the B&F transmitter, but you can find your dog with the other one as well.

The main difference between the patroller and the d3 is patroller can't sign when more than one transmitter exist in it's range (as they call 'victim').

The d3 also can't handle more than one in same time, but can notice to you when get more than one signal.

Hope this help.

Am using the D3 mate, its my 2nd as 1st one packed up, despite being under warranty i still got stung for 50 quid for the replacement. Its very easy to use, but i find the depth readings arnt super accurate, at the moment mine is aprox 1.2 on box equal about 3ft, altho it differs depending on terrain, also i find with this one and the 1st one i had that Im usually about 1ft fwd and to the left of the dog when i break through. none of the issues I have mentioned are that serious as once you have used it a few times you adjust the way u work to suit. Also the box is best kept in a clear waterproof bag when ur using it as the dirt and grit etc, get in somehow and cause problems (didnt find this out til after 1st one went tits up) dont know if they work with the BF tramsmitter. Im using the transmitter with strong stuff collor, I put tape around the fastening as I dont trust the velcro to hold in the mud and clay. Oh and ignore the diretional arrows on the box, just follow the numbers. Hope this helps.
