smudge1901 1
After lots of looking around I have found a new whippet pup. Have had our 6 year old male whippet, Sam for 5 years ( he's 6.) and wanted to try and carry on his genes ( if she turns out to be any good) Was told to look at whippet archive to see the parents of new pup and put Sam in as well. Great site as it shows 5 generation pedigrees, with some pics and history. Turns out Sam has some very useful coursing blood lines. New pup (holly) is 5 1/2 months old and K.C. Has a really unusual coat pattern, with a star shape on her back. Will be quite a small type which is what I was after. I think 18" will be most she will grow to. She is show bred but thats no reason for her not to catch the bunnies. Looking forwards to letting her have a run when she's older and she will be out watching Sam lamp over the winter. She is already showing signs of being quite keen when out walking in the wood and isn't doing that annoying puppy trait of just wanting to jump all over the older dog to play.. She is a pet first and foremost and my wife is mothering her but as long as she gives me a bit of fun with the bunnies I dont mind. Quote Link to post
