Lets not forget that without "these big arsed things" there wouldnt be any of the racier types about

Not my dog, and not really a 'bull x', but a lurcher with bull in it. Owned by Johnnyboy68 and i'm sure he won't mind me sticking up some photos of her. She's fast as hell and a proper character

I guess Tess is fairly racey, basically for a 5/8 bull 3/8 grey cross.         She was slow to mature, her first year and a half she spent training and chasing swallows or shadows around th

She was slow to mature, her first year and a half she spent training and chasing swallows or shadows around the fields.

Finally started chasing and catching Rabbits with enthusiasm, then progressed on to watching and helping on a few others, finally catching her own during the summer month's.

I haven't really stopped during the summer month's and continued to hunt her through until autumn until she picked up an injury, then went into her season....

So far she hasn't seen as much as I'd like, but she's seen enough to show me she's got the danglies for it. No whining, no Whimpering, just get on with the job in hand, swapping to the throat if it's possible, or staying 'on the scruff' if I can manage to turn up in time!

Looks like she'll be able to replace Tia in sorting certain quarry as the farmers need her to and I got the permission for sorting... maybe without as much jaw strength but with just as much determination. She also seems, accidentally through her speed of turn, to be helping out in the loss of Roo in filling the freezer. Managing a respectable number of freezer fillers!

Roo was, we think, about 1/4 Good Bull to 3/4 Really Good Grey.... again pretty 'racey' for a bull cross.

Surprising all of the 'Isotonic spray'! and 'silly jumper' brigade with his speed (if not looks!!)

When he ran 'the hare', Roo completely out classed all. They blamed the organiser that the ground was rough, then that the ground was too soft...Either way Roo Won all races I entered him in and all the competitions... whether they were serious or for fun!

He was physically hard and 'hot' to the touch and didn't have an ounce of loose meat/fat on him. Very easy to keep fit but a bugger to keep trained.

He was one of those dogs that looked ripped even without much exercise, but even when worked/trained hard wouldn't change shape much.

Was very good at all different, longer legged quarry.

I just didn't get the chance to test him on as much different land as I wanted too before he passed, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Yorkshire and Scotland being the few he ran and ran well by the lads surprised reactions?

Showed particular skill when tackling certain toothed types...

so don't know how he matched up to other peoples 'good dogs'

From my limited experience so far, he was better than I've seen in other peoples dogs. Just hope he wasn't my 'once in a lifetime dog'
