best day dog i had is in my kennels now its her third season, only just started running now this season cause she picked up a bad injury though the summer when out walking. was worried she wouldnt run again but aint missed one so far, over the moon. and the best allrounder i had was a bitch called megan, i was fifteen when i got her cause my first lurcher my grandad bred died in the field, and i wanted another dog so my uncle took me to get her from a dog home, she was conviscated from poachers running a estate and taken there, she was about three when i got her. the first time i took her out she did 5 out of 5, next time 5 out of 6[long ears on lamp] could kill rabbits for fun and was handy on deer, got offered 800 for her one time. every one that see her run tried to buy her. in the end i rehomed her when i got out of dogs for a while, just my age i geuss. i would give anything for the bitch back again and wish i had pups out of her now, she taught me alot. always think of the bitch now and then, there was definatly somthing special about her, she used to jump out the six foot high run on the kennel and be running the garden every morning, so i had to put a roof on the run lol.

my best lurcher ive had so far as a rabbit dog is Bryn my 1x collie grey, he is Brill in the day with his nose and good in the lamp. He is 4 1/2 now and will get good bag any where

had a few great lurchers and afew good ones ,the ones that stand out are the ones that run till they drop a rest and some more ,a good lurcher is one that makes other mens dog second rate ,had an old bitch lana never beating to the catch , botling rabbs or nite time work , rex my young dog mhirn older bitch all a good stamp , ,had plenty usefull dogs and a few great dogs , sol sid etc all could do what we bred them for .
