Nah thats no good.......cycling aint even a proper sport its a leisure activity......

Must admit i didnt watch it i was watching the spurs/chelsea game so dont know who the other contenders were........good luck to him anyway.

Hahaha Gnash , not a proper sport :hmm: , the Tour De France must be the most punishing sporting event in World sport and this lad has over the last few yrs won over 20 yes 20 stages , officially the BEST SPRINTER IN THE WORLD , now to be the best at a sport so demanding/tough is a feat to rival any sportsman this country has , and coming from Isle Of Man makes it that extra special :toast:

No cant deny the boys done good and deserves everything he gets................not that i know much about cycling............but for me,a proper sport must require skill as well as fitness...............would it be too harsh to say anyone could be a cyclist if they had the determination and drive...............in other words it doesnt take any skills you were born with to be a cyclist...........id actually say darts is more of a sport than cycling it takes natural skill ! :icon_redface: .......................

im not sure if ive convinced myself or not :D

I see where your coming from , im not too switched on with the skills if any off cycling as ive only started an interest with Cavendish , but 1 thing is for sure , grit and determination we all have but to go the extra mile is too demanding for 99.9% off us , maybe its like passing the selection of sas plenty try but only the special 1s achieve it and maybe thats the case with cycling , it could be something from inside which you could say is a Talent ?

If there is no skill in competitive cycling, does that also mean there is no skill in motorbike racing?

you've clearly never ridden a motorcycle to come out with that!!!! you can't possibly compare riding a pushbike to racing a motorbike, the ONLY similarity is the number of wheels.
