dai dogs 1,694
i want to replace a worn out td engine with a 300tdi engine. could it be done by changing the flywheel housings over so the 300tdi engine would mate to the lt77 gearbox? if so would the engine mounts need to be removed and welded back onto the chassis to match up? cheers Dai

tango 221
it can be done mate but its a bit of work, the discovery 300 is a different set up till the defender 300,just quickly the discovery box sits to far back so you can use your own box and you need to drill and helicoil the bottom of the bell housing to match them, engine wise youve to move the drivers side engine mount and turn it round and youve to remodel the passenger footwell to get the turbo pipe on along with a bit of arsing about with intercooler and rad hosing but it can be done, good luck if you go ahead with it
