MINK

In my opinion the best bait, bar none, for mink (and cats!) are kippers. They smell fishy and the scent carries well and do not attract blowflies like anything else seems to do and work really well.

I wouldn't even experiment with anything else as the results speak for themselves. :victory:

Thanks.

I have some small bunnys with guts, will give that a try.

Plenty about where i am and their cheeky as feck. :)

They are distroying the local ducks ect, the dirty feckers.

I just dont like seeing them going one by one and half are not eaten. :icon_eek:

Frank; Mate of mine, who catches his share of mink, makes his own traps. He incorperates a wooden floor and just sets a mirror in the back! :icon_eek:

You'd know this guy as our very own " Billy Bunter " :good:

When you catch your first mink Frank, empty its bladder inside your cage and around it and you have a have an unbeatable insentive for any mink around to investigate your cage .They cant seem to resist checking out the smell of another mink.Works a treat down my way.Never have to bait the cage again after i catch the first one :D

Very true, John, I have had a mink every day for 5 days in one riverbank cage that had actually never been baited. The first one went in out of curiosity and the others just followed on.
