who to insure a lurcher pup with

hi there i was just wondering who every one used to insure there lurcher with obviously a good cover that doesnt break the bank many thanks

 

Petplan.......a little more expensive (less than a packet of fags) but every vet will deal with them, no questions asked.

they wanted over 20 quid a month which i thought was very exspensive but thanks anyway

Fair enough but its 2 pints of beer a week, but I suppose it depends how much you value your hound and what the chances of it getting hurt are.........all I will say is, when the big bills come along (£2k +) most vets will be happy to deal direct with Petplan so you dont have to fork out up front, its just a phonecall.

I put down my lurchers as 'crossbreeds' & pay £17.13 a month for each dog with Petplan, have used them for years & as a previous poster said, no questions asked. Rather than apply online, I always telephone. The plan they are on is only the basic plan, but gives adequate cover etc. For reasons unbeknown (and I have never asked) if you tell them the breed is a 'Lurcher' it is more expensive...... ;) Hope this helps.
