Steve McHardy 2
ive just got another cocker just recently and im looking forward to the challenge of training her as it will be a challenge as spaniels can be. patience is the key and luckily the little buggers are usually quite greedy so to start with treat traing will get you going but phase out the treats asap for just praise reward well thats what i do. what do you want the dog to do? beating, picking up or rough shooting working for you in front. it looks a bonnie pup and you have 2 photos of it staying still which both my cockers find hard to do, so thats a good start. good luck with the pup. blackandgreen 84
Buy a couple of DVD's on Cocker training mate. I think Sporting Scene and Hawcroft Gun Dogs have some pretty good ones. 1 Quote Link to post

Lloyd90 509
How old is she now ? careful with the training if you do too much now especially without knowing what your doing you will ruin your dog Quote Link to post
