Canadian Black Bears 23
I don't know if anyone has tried fishing small brookies (speckled trout) but I have 2 small lakes just loaded with them and they are wicked eating. We use night crawlers with a leader line attached to a small spoon. I have a 12 foot aluminum boat powered by a 2 HP motor. It is perfect on these small lakes. We are only allowed to catch 10 per day. Believe me they are tasty little critters which put up quite a fight for the size of them. I only use 4 lb test line on a 6 foot fiberglass rod with an open face reel. Check out the pictures on my web site www.blackbearoutfitters.ca..Cheers Rob Quote Link to post

Sure do, take the guts out, roll them in flour and fry them up on low heat in butter, little bit of salt and pepper...mmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about them...season starts April 1st next year to the end of August.
