Long nets, and prices?

Anybody using a long net? Was out yesterday on a wee island of trees in the middle of an open field, perfect I would get to put long nets around. What different types are there etc? How's best to use them and what price

Expect to pay for one?

 

Is there people that make them etc?

 

It would be used along with a dog.

i bought 200 yds of sheet netting from advanced netting for 36 quid delivered. it was 4.25 inch mesh i think, you then need top line and endpins but its not a waste of money buying the top line as you will have plenty spare and it comes in....

 

just phone and explain what you want it for the chap on the end of the phone will know what netting you need...

If you are interested in stop nets / short long nets etc, then have a word with albert64 he makes them, and i have one, and it's cracking, very very well made and a useful tool Not sure if he makes the long ones?

better off using sheet netting or ready made - for all there is people who make them you got to consider how many joins are in the net and how the net will weaken if one of the joins splits

I use them but only on one piece of ground the rest i prefer to purse net each hole and pick up hole hoppers . You can train a dog to work the webs if you get it started early enough , I use short nets as well putting them at one end of a piece of cover and beating it threw with the spaniel
